Q2 2013, ASUS Menjadi Produsen Notebook Terbesar di Indonesia

Selain di Indonesia, ASUS juga menjadi produsen notebook terbesar di Asia Tenggara dan Asia Pasifik.

Jakarta, 20 Agustus 2013 ― ASUS, pemimpin dunia di era digital merilis hasil kinerja di kuartal kedua tahun 2013, khususnya kinerja penjualan notebook di pasar Indonesia. Dalam laporan yang juga selaras dengan data yang dikumpulkan lembaga riset terkemuka, Gartner, ASUS kini mengambil alih posisi pertama sebagai produsen notebook terbesar di Indonesia.
Dalam laporan terbarunya, Gartner menyebutkan, dalam kurun waktu tiga bulan pertama, ASUS berhasil memasarkan 284,813 unit notebook di Indonesia, atau dengan pangsa pasar sebesar 30,8 persen. IDC, lembaga riset terkemuka lainnya melaporkan, pada kuartal yang sama, ASUS mencatat penjualan sebesar 261.520 unit dan meraih pangsa pasar sebesar 26,78 persen.
Pada kuartal kedua 2013, Gartner mencatat bahwa ASUS berhasil meningkatkan penjualannya menjadi 293.693 unit notebook. Angka ini membuat ASUS menjadi produsen notebook terbesar di Indonesia dengan penguasaan pasar hingga 35,1 persen. Secara total, pada paruh pertama tahun 2013 ini ASUS berhasil memasarkan 578.506 unit notebook di Indonesia.
Tak Terpengaruh Perlambatan Pasar
Sejalan dengan laporan Gartner, dari data yang dirilis oleh IDC untuk kuartal kedua 2013, ASUS juga berhasil mengambil alih posisi pertama sebagai produsen notebook terbesar di Indonesia dan Asia Tenggara.
IDC menyebutkan, pada Q2 2013 ini, ASUS berhasil memasarkan 291.236 unit notebook di Indonesia, dan total sebanyak 523.968 unit di Asia Tenggara. Angka ini melampaui produsen terbesar kedua yang memasarkan sebanyak 181.510 unit notebook di Indonesia, dan 511.057 unit di seluruh kawasan Asia Tenggara.
Di kawasan Asia Pasifik (di luar Jepang dan China), ASUS juga mencatatkan diri sebagai produsen notebook terbesar. Angka penjualan kuartal pertama 2013 yang mencapai 674 ribu unit meningkat pada kuartal kedua menjadi 745 ribu unit. Secara total, kini ASUS menguasai 18,23 persen di pasar tersebut. Naik dari angka 15,59 persen di kuartal sebelumnya.
Sama seperti di Indonesia, peningkatan penjualan tersebut juga terjadi di saat yang bersamaan dengan terjadinya market slowdown dan penurunan penjualan notebook dari produsen-produsen lain di Asia Pasifik. Menurut catatan Gartner, pada kuartal pertama 2013, total penjualan notebook mencapai 4,322 juta unit dan menjadi 4,086 juta unit di kuartal kedua 2013. Namun, Juliana menyebutkan, berkat kepercayaan yang terus-menerus diberikan oleh pengguna dan kalangan industri di tanah air, untuk pertama kalinya ASUS berhasil meraih posisi pertama sebagai produsen notebook terbesar. "Ini merupakan prestasi yang penting bagi ASUS Indonesia dan kami mengucapkan terima kasih sebesar-besarnya pada seluruh pihak yang terlibat," ucapnya.
Tren meningkatnya penjualan notebook ASUS sudah terlihat sejak beberapa tahun sebelumnya. Dari data yang diungkapkan IDC, pada paruh pertama 2011, ASUS hanya berhasil mencatatkan penjualan sebesar 246 ribu unit. Pada tahun tersebut, ASUS berhasil meraih posisi kedua terbesar. Angka ini meningkat menjadi 425 ribu unit pada paruh pertama 2012 dan membuat posisi ASUS semakin kuat di posisi kedua di pasar notebook Indonesia.
Terbesar di Asia Tenggara dan Asia Pasifik
